Choosing the Right Capacitors for Power Management Applications

Capacitors are often used in various power management circuits within a wide range of applications, including Internet of Things (IoT), Radio Frequency (RF), handheld devices, and wearables. This document highlights the differences between capacitor types and discusses how to choose an optimum capacitor for power management circuits in specific applications. It also briefly introduces different packaging and printed circuit board (PCB) effects and discusses the parasitic inductance effect on the circuit performance and capacitor selection.
